“The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity, and leadership.”
As a Certified Executive and Leadership Development Coach and Professional Life Coach, I partner with church and marketplace leaders to live and lead from a place of profound inner transformation. I use several assessments, including the MBTI®, Enneagram, Clifton Strengths, spiritual gift assessments, and spiritual health assessments to lay a strong foundation upon which to build.
As your coach, I create a safe, supportive environment that produces ongoing mutual respect and trust. I commit to demonstrating respect for your perceptions, learning style, and personal being. And I provide ongoing support for and champion new behaviors and actions, including those that may involve risk-taking at the client’s request.
I use tools such as active listening, powerful questions, direct communication, brainstorming, and more to facilitate learning and results for the client, creating awareness and designing actions that will move clients toward their stated goals.
The issues that clients bring to coaching are varied and diverse. They include:
- Inner and external change
- Personal and professional development
- Interpersonal skills, listening skills, empathy
- Decision making
- Communication skills
- Motivation and engagement
- Team building
- Delegation and empowerment
- Managing uncertainty and ambiguity
- Change and culture management
- And more
Because I bring my whole self to the relationship, clients can also benefit from my spiritual direction training and mentoring training at their request. However, I like to make a clear distinction between coaching, spiritual direction, and mentoring when working with a client.
For potential clients exploring whether coaching might be right for them, I offer a free introductory session, during which I can answer any questions you might have and determine if the relationship is a good fit for both of us.
